's Fachl Corner Murinsel

The city of Graz is divided into two parts by the river Mur. As a sign of overcoming this cultural separation, an island made of glass and steel was built into the river for the European Capital of Culture year 2003 - the Mur Island.

In the meantime, the island in the Mur has developed into one of the tourist hotspots of the Styrian capital. Next to the clock tower on the Schlossberg, the island in the middle of the Mur is a "place to be" for all visitors to Graz.

In order to increase the number of visitors, in addition to the general refurbishment, further efforts such as a new screening concept including cooperation with almost all renowned festivals in Graz and a summer cinema series (outdoor) were anchored. Inside the island there is a café as well as a newly established design shop, which presents and sells the products of local creative people. Now 's Fachl Eck Murinsel with its unique concept is to bring the delicacies and culinary diversity of Styria to the design shop and offer all visitors the best of the whole of Styria to take home.
